Rates
The Ministry of Long Term Care sets the accommodation rates for Long Term Care homes across the province.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the annual long-term care home resident co-payment rate increase will be suspended until July 1, 2021. The current accommodation rates still apply.
Type of Accommodation
In certain circumstances residents may be eligible for a co-payment rate reduction for basic accommodation. Residents in private or semi-private accommodation are not eligible for this co-payment rate reduction unless they meet the criteria for Exceptional Circumstances.
